Schleges Weinstuben in Hildesheim
Our house, directly next to the Roemer and Pelizaeus Museum in Hildesheim, has been in existence since 1540. The age of the house was determined during the restoration of the house front by means of the uncovered Gothic arches. It survived the Inferno 1945, which laid everything in ruins all around. The rescue came with a risky plan. It began an exciting and costly project which was carried by great personal commitment of our previous tenants and has our greatest appreciation.
During the elaborate restoration of the property, an ancient well was discovered and restored in the rear part of the building.
In the past as well as today, this is a very special place for cosy rounds in historical surroundings. Let yourself be enchanted by the rustic charm of our inn and visit us.
Our premises offer space for up to 60 people, a garden with 55 outdoor seats, surrounded by the old city wall. The opening hours are from Monday to Friday from 17 o’clock and Saturday from 18 o’clock.
Of course we are also available outside our normal business hours for birthdays, communions, christenings, weddings and other occasions. From a number of 18 persons we also open outside our business hours.
